Winter Fuel Support Scheme

In order to assist working age households on low incomes, Welsh Government has introduced a Winter Fuel Support Scheme. It allows eligible households to claim a one-off £100 payment from their local council to provide support towards paying their winter fuel bills. The payment will be available to all eligible households regardless of whether you  pay for your fuel on a pre-payment metre, by direct debit or by paying a bill quarterly.

Blaenau Gwent Council will be contacting residents who may be eligible for the payment, to invite an application to be made.

Anyone who is not contacted who believes they are eligible for the payment, can also submit a claim  from 13 December 2021 until midnight on 18 February 2022 on the Blaenau Gwent website.
