Summer Bank Holiday 2021 Service Arrangements

Customer Services
C2BG (the Council’s Contact Centre) will be closed on Monday, 30th August 2021 and will re-open at 8am on Tuesday, 31st August 2021.

The Emergency out-of-hours service can be contacted on the usual number of 01495 311556 during this period.

The Piper Alarm service will also continue to operate. Enquiries regarding Piper lifeline alarms out of office hours should be directed to 0845 056 8035.

Registration Service
The Registration service will be unavailable on Monday, 30th August and will resume for Births, Deaths and Marriages at 9am on Tuesday, 31st August.

Social Services Duty Team
The Duty Team Office will be closed on Monday, 30th August and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday, 31st August.

During this period please contact the Emergency Duty Team for Social Services on 0800 328 44 32.

Payments & Benefits
If you wish to make a payment a 24-hour automated payment line is available on 0845 604 2635 or payments can be made via our website.

Waste & Recycling
Waste and recycling services, including nappy/hygiene collections and green waste will continue as normal. Please place your waste and recycling out for collection by 7am of the day of collection.

Visits to New Vale Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Ebbw Vale or the new centre in Roseheyworth, Abertillery can be made by booked appointment only.

Libraries & Community Hubs
Aneurin Leisure Trust Libraries and Community Hubs will be closed on Monday, 30th August. Normal service will resume from 9am on Tuesday 31st August.
