Up and coming volunteering days

Here are the dates of the next volunteer days taking place across Blaenau Gwent:

Monday 4th April: Reptile surveying at Six Bells Local Nature Reserve (The Guardian site). Meeting place in the upper plateau gravel car park (entrance opposite Lancaster Street, grid ref: SO 21856 02918) at 9.30 am.

Monday 11th April: Bioblitz: Bees & Bugs at Trevor Rowson Local Nature Reserve, Nantyglo. Meeting place in the car park (Grid Ref: SO 19258 09918, access from Farm Road nearest postcode NP23 4QF) at 10am

Tuesday 12th April: Hedgehog Training at Sirhowy Woodlands Local Nature Reserve, Tredegar. Meeting place in the layby on Thomas Ellis Way (Grid Ref: SO 14695 09754) at 10.30am

Wednesday 13th April: Bioblitz at Cwmtillery Lake Local Nature Reserve. Meeting Place in the car park (Grid Ref: SO 2179906120) at 10.30

Wednesday 13th April: Bat Walk at Cwmtilery Lakes. Time TBC Evening event

All kit/id guides will be provided, but if you wish to bring your own please feel free. Some of the activities are weather dependant, if there are any changes I will notify you at the earliest opportunity. Please wear appropriate clothing such as waterproof clothing/sturdy boots or footwear/wellies/hats etc.

We advise that you bring refreshment/flask/snack etc with you.
