Foodbank donation

Nantyglo and Blaina Town Council has (via delegated powers and Power of Well-being) purchased a large amount of food and toiletries as required by Nantyglo Food bank for local distribution.

The goods purchased (£237.15) have now been delivered to the foodbank distribution centre whereby staff from Tai Calon are unloading goods and delivering to those in need. Please see below a letter of thanks from Blaenau Gwent Foodbank.

I write to thank the local resident’s of Nantyglo and Blaina for their kind and generous donations to enable us to help and support local vulnerable families in your area who are in crisis with food and necessary toiletries.

In this unprecedented time, it’s so good to know that people in our communities are willing to help and be there for each other and that is very heart warming.
