WW1 and WW2 in pictures

Come and see the story of WW1 and WW2 in pictures at the Council Chambers between 5th November - 16th November 2018.  The free exhibit will be open to the public Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm and Friday 10am-12noon.   

Nantyglo and Blaina In Bloom

On Tuesday 23rd October 2018, Nantyglo and Blaina held an awards presentation for those who took part in Nantyglo and Blaina In Bloom.   This was the first year for the Town Council to hold such an event which was subsequently very successful.  The results were:

Food bags and dog waste bags

Nantyglo and Blaina Town Council are now a supplier of food waste bags and dog fouling bags.  Please collect your bags during office hours (Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm; Friday 9am-1pm). 

Review of Electoral Arrangements for the County Borough of Blaenau Gwent 

This is a County Borough Review by The Boundary Commission, and this is the second consultation stage.  The Commission's recommendation of Option A is reducing the number of County Borough Councillors from 42 to 33 and the electoral wards from 16 to 14.

Initially established by Communities First several years ago, the group will begin to meet at William Powell Memorial Hall in Bourneville.  Please see the poster for details. 

Flower, Fruit and Veg Show 2018

Due to a lack of entrants, unfortunately the Flower, Fruit and Veg Show has been cancelled for 2018. 

VC Commemorative Stone

Join us for the unveling of a VC Commemorative Stone for CSM John Henry Williams, VC DCM MM on Saturday 22nd September 2018 at 13.00 on Chapel Road, Nantyglo (Outside Nantyglo Senior Citizen Hall)

Merchant Navy Day 2018

To celebrate Merchant Navy Day, the Red Ensign was flown in Blaina High Street.
